The emptiness revisits!

That emptiness visits her again…
In the frozen corner of her broken veins!
She taps one and let it bleed-
The faintness of her past refrains!
She runs to catch hold of that space-
Of no worth and just in vain!
Time as slender as a reed…
Slips from her hand-
To not to be found again!
Had she known- she was not a centre!
She would have acted the same!
But why then this emptiness revolved-
Within her and followed her in the murky lane!
She yells at the top of this silence-
And wishes not to be heard…
She grabs that rug of strength…
And wordlessly walks through the rain!

That bird in us!

When the melancholic evening,
Brings to her those delusions-
Of being at her nest-
Of being loved-
And cared with a delight…

She sighs and turns behind,
And to behold nothing-
But a broken string…
Attached to her wings!

In that pursuit-
Of crossing those limits…
Seldom had she thought…
She would be encaged forever…
When she cut her strings and flew-
Deluded she was- of being free!

When she clutches the bough-
And stares at this vastness…
That caged her spirit…
In this melancholic evening-
She sings no songs about being bold!
But- about those longings to be at home…

Words to the wise!

Seek the darkness-
When you begin your journey…
Into the benighted tunnel!
That light at the end-
Will not astound you anymore!

Seek that warmth within you-
When the world goes frigid and cold…
The withered spirit of the last battle!
And a lost caravan!
This warmth shall make you bold!

Do not hitch your wagons-
Anymore to stars-
But to the dust-
Where you bloomed from!

In the rear!
Expect to not to expect!
For, life is not always about-
Floating with those streams!
Neither against them!
But to- seek that solace-
Amidst the crippled you!

Indeed is a two cents’ worth…

Drops...

And after that crowd,
I grabbed my umbrella-
And my solitude-
Took the narrow lane!
Gazed at the sky-
The monsoon clouds-
And loneliness!
Perfect!
Pearls from the broken necklace-
It rained…

Alone, I thought I was-
Then I harked!
I could hear them talk-
As loud as they could-
In that rhythmic tone-
One shouted and the other followed!
Eavesdropped, I-
For what they could be talking?
About their journey!

The clattered rhythm again…
Guessed, I-
About their journey, must be-
From the puddle to the pond-
Meandering through the rivulet-
To the river-
And levitating to the mightiness-
They chattered loud-
Felt, I
they gloated their salvation!
Levitated to the mighty blue and again-
Reached to the earth-
They belonged to!

I could sense their happiness-
As they gently slid down to the earth-
And disappeared on her arms-
Thin clouds now-
I could only hear a few of them-
They have met their destiny-
And will be back again-

Those drops of rain...

You!

When you are deep in sleep,

And under the blanket, something creeps,

Scratching with her eight rough limbs!

And amidst the dark,

You hold her in your hand!

To know who she is!

However brave, you stand

Against the world and adversity!

A single big house spider!

Can make you realize!

How chicken-hearted!

You can be!

Seized in the freedom!

What it feels like- if you are set free-
Yet caught in the freedom?

A sharp knife hanging at your throat!
Between you and the world-
You find yourself ployed!

Avouched to breathe!
All, except the air!
Your blood turns blue-
Yet you are not allowed to yell!

You are told to share what yearned-
Your heart!
At the cost of your life!

The manacles cut!
And a cage bought!
Set you free- to fly high,
While your wings bleed!
Gathering your chopped feathers!
They will dust off the crown!

You scream with no voice!
The ears plugged!
Thousands of clapping hands!
Wave at you!

Still- you want that freedom?

The Kamogawa...

When what that shines brighter,
Than those stars in the sky,
Are the flashes of airplanes…
And the city glitters-
With thousands of lanterns, lamps, and lights-
Raw and pure…
The fragrance of water-
That breeze fetches for me.
I sat on the verdant moss-
Besides her, keeping my chin-
Over my knee…
And silently observed-
How beautiful, is she…
Her meandering feathers-
Slithering over the bed of rocks-
Her musings hold the glitters of lights!
As the scales of a serpent-
Glaring our eyes…
Unlike the crowd of thoughts
.. how silent, she is!
As the beauty floats-
In her sacred form…
The winging of Kamo…
And the rising of the moon...
Ruffles as the reflections-
Over her silken body…
How radiant, is she…
Mutely she twines-
Through a heart of the Kyoto…
If she does not take your heart-

I wonder- if you have the one…

Long gone!

When this spring brings to me,
Some silence-
While I walk down the lane-
Thousands, stepped on.
I knew down in me-
A lost child seeks-
The warmth!
I certainly look for-
No words-
But that silence…
Where I could lie down!
And feel-
The pain that strangled
You!
Then,
I have no regrets!
You must be a light!
That light
Which woke me up-
From the nightmare!
